No taste, just aftertaste. Decent aftertaste of dark chocolate and coffe, but nothing on the front end. Pretty watery for a stout. Yawn.
Thumbs down.

North Coast Old Stock Ale
11.7 ABV
Earthy, slightly sweet. Has some taste of brown sugar, raisins and pears. Slight alcohol bite, but surprisingly smooth considering the ABV. Sort of a lighter version of Rochefort. North Coast calls it an "old ale", but the Belgian influence is unmistakable.
A well crafted brew on the brink of greatness, but not quite there. Good (very good), but not great.

Weyerbacher Heresy
$5.99/22oz, 8% ABV
Heresy is Weyerbacher's Old Heathen Imperial Stout, aged in oak bourbon barrels. Old Heathen is a respectable stout (high praise from me), but not quite to the level of North Coast's Old Rasputin. Heresy adds a lot of complexity- velvety taste, with a nice mix of vanilla, caramel and coffee. Very smooth, carries the alcohol well. Not as sharp or dry as I usually like Imperial Stouts (more like an oatmeal stout, really), but very good nonetheless. Thumbs up.

Weyerbacher Hops Infusion IPA
$1.99/12oz @TWAM, 6.2% AVB
Full bodied IPA, nice hop bite. Reminds me of Geary's, or a less intense Blithering Idiot. Has that slightly sour aftertaste some of the other Weyerbachers have, but still kicks Bass up and down the block.
Thumbs up.

Great Divide Ridge Line Amber
$1.79/12oz @TWAM, 5.4% ABV
Decent amber, kinda reminds me of Kwak without the licorice. Slightly watery, though.

Rogue Mocha Porter
$2.29/12oz @ TWAM, 5.3% ABV
Decent porter with nice hops/malt blend. Subtle coffee/chocolate taste, if a little 'fizzy'.

Ommegang Rare Vos Amber Ale
$2.49/12oz @ TWAM, 6.5% ABV
Good Belgian style amber. Coppery taste with a trace of caramel, nice body without heavy carbonation. Hoppy taste, but not strong like an IPA. Kinda like a lighter Rochefort or amber Duvel (which makes sense- Duvel owns Ommegang). Gonna have to try the rest of the Ommegang line.
Thumbs up.
